GUMC Composition group is a new addition to GUMC. This year, we'll be meeting once a week at 14 University Gardens in the university campus on Wednesdays from 6p.m. to 7p.m.
If you are a student who is interested in composition - this club is for you even if it's just for a quick chat once a week. Or maybe you're a musician who knows nothing about composition and wants to get involved!
Come along to the group if you are interested in writing pieces for some of GUMC's ensembles (Like our wind band!) and having your compositions played in one of the club's concerts by our musicians.
We'll be talking about music composed by students within the University. Any projects that we've been working on and anything that draws our interest. As the group grows, I'd love to hear your ideas on what the group can do over the year. If you want to be kept up-to-date on the group then you can join our Facebook group.
